Ashley's Christining

Finally, Ashley’s Christining was pushed through last August 10th. I’m one of the Ninang (4 Ninangs).  It was very quick ceremony, but the babies (9 of them Baptize at the same time) were already having a crying contest in the middle of the ceremony.  All  I can do was smile, it just remind me of my time, and looking at the Moms  and Dads struggling to make their baby stop from crying it amazes me, I can see me and John on them. The ceremony was quick but since it was for 9 babies, you have to wait until every baby has their turns.

We had the reception in my house after the Baptism. It was fun, lots of foods! We ordered 6 food long Sandwich, Pizza, Chinese, Siopao, plus desserts, etc.  But of course before you knew it, the food were all gone from the table, it was all wrap up for take home. Sometimes I just have to laugh off, because the following day I don’t  have any food, no left-over for me from the party and I have to cook! Ahhh… So much for relaxing the following day. But seriously, we had fun, everyone were enjoying every bit of it. For me that is the most important, I can just eat dried fish the following day! Hahaha!I am going to share my slide show  taken on Ashley’s Baptism.

Ashley being Baptized.

Enjoy life out loud!

You can see when I have time to spare , my journal is updated. I can type here without the kids noticing me since they are watching a kiddie movie with their dad.  Triz is going to have a small Birthday party with her friends around 5pm. She is going to have a sleep over too, but I only allowed her to invite just two friends for the night. More than that, I don’t think I can handle? I mean, we’ve done that before many times, but not this time.  Besides, they have to be pick up a bit early by their Moms, we are going to have another Bday party for Triz just for the family to attend.  So, I need to clean up before they arrive,  at least I don’t have to cook. Thanks to pizza!

Anyway, I am happy, or would I say much happier  and no worries.  You see, even I am away from home, I am worried of my siblings and my mother all the time.  My younger brother who was born right after me (1 year age gap) is working abroad as a Seaman.  His been out of the Country since 2002 I think? But he would go home every time his contract is over for the year. He called me yesterday, we talked for more than two hours, until he was so bored of talking with me. They traveled from Spain to France or France to Africa.

Now my post is getting long. I am sure most of you still remember the big boat which it sank, a victim of typhoon. I was so scared when I heard the news, parang bigla na lang na wala yong mga words narinig ko. Nang hina talaga ako. I did not want to give my Nanay a call and ask about it. I texted my older sister, asked her about our youngest brother’s where abouts. Right after she texted me back that our youngest brother got stocked in Camiguin  because of the Typhone. He is a Seaman also, and working in much smaller boat around the area. I sweat cold and cried with happy tears when I read my sister’s txt. Then I gived my nanay a call, she was happy camper when I have a chat with her.

Note: Suppose to be posted on Saturday. I have few pics to share, just to make my post more colorful. ~_^

long overdue

This is long overdue. But I am still going to use it to update my journal. We had our 4rth of July party at ate Kim and Loren’s huge yard. It was our first 4rth of July fireworks party after we move in here. It was fun, we had a tractor tour ride in their huge farm ground. It was actually fun for the adult and the kids.

When we were still at our old house, we always have  fireworks. Even our neighbors  were enjoying watching the fireworks. But now we couldn’t do it here in our new place,  John is lucky that ate Kim and Loren doesn’t mind the 4rth of July party. Ate Kim and I are planning to have the party every 4rth of July. Sana nga walang pangyayari na di matuloy.

Anyway if you have few minutes watch the slide here.

Month of August

I had been planning to get everything ready, clean the house a little bit, but none of this is yet done. I am excited, nervous? Well, I will just put it this way, I can’t wait to see them all!  I am sure they are not going to mind my dusty house, after all, they are my friends and friends understand, right? They might help me clean. Heheh! Baka mag back out pa sila! Hahah! Joke!

Seriously, I am excited for their visits. I am looking forward to these days to come. They are not going to stay long, but at least we can do the bonding together.  I am expecting two from TX, one from OH, two from IL! Hopefully , lahat sila matutuloy!

So, August it is. The month of August is a special month for us in a way.  John and I got married in August, and before we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary , we Had Triz. So, Triz will be  celebrating her Birthday soon.  Speaking of celebrations, next Sunday on the 10th we are going to have a big party for a dear friend  baby’s Baptism.  Rowena ordered lechon, Chinese foods, and Pizza, etc. Pero dito sa bahay gaganapin ang reception.  Then, a weekend after that, Saturday on the 16th. We are going to have a Birthday party for Triz with her friends.  I am not gonna be cooking baka naman matakot ang mga bata sa pagkain ko! Kaya cake and pizza na lang ang para sa kanila. Pero I am sure busy-busy-han pa rin ang labas ko nyan, kaya I asked ate Kim and Cleo to help me out that day. Luckily, napa yes ko naman sila. Alam ko naman na mag yes din sila. ~_^ We are also going to have a small party the following day (Sunday) with John’s family.  Liz and I agreed on this since Dad’s health is not that good these days, we just wanted him to be comfortable and be able to bonding with his grand kids.

Then, the most awaited days for me, the following week! Ayayay! ^_^

Anyway, I was able to grab few pics from a friend’s friendster album and thought of posting it here since I don’t have to edit it.  Taken last Saturday at Cathy's party. Thanks for stopping by and for reading.

I am alive and kicking.

I am trying to keep up. Just that, we are trying to enjoy the summer, trying to keep the kids busy these days. We have a month to go and back to school again. Now I am already thinking how would we adjust to the "waking up" early morning routine. Breakfast early is not going to be fun for them either, so, I am going back to square one. ^_^ But oh well, I would just rather not think about it now?

Anyway, so far so good, the kiddos are enjoying the summer, and they are doing a good job on keeping thier nanay busy! Triz's  summer camp is all done, so, we are trying new things, I am so glad that there are  girl scout moms also. They are awesome! At least we have a back up for the girls to have fun. One of the girl scout mom is hosting a pool (swimming lessons), horse ride and a bann fire for the girls in her house. At least I can do my thing tomorrow just the boys in tow. Triz will be at Heather's house from 10am - 8pm, I will meet her there around 5pm when hubby gets home from work.  Trish, my kapitibahay is going to take Triz there, while her dad is going to babysit her boys. We always take turns on taking the girls somewhere. I have not decided yet of what to take with me (we are having a potluck) for dinner. Anyway, I should scoot for now, I have to get our stuff ready for spray park. I hope it is not gonna be so hot, ang sakit kasi sa mata.

Ballet recital and a Wedding

I am no longer busy at this very moment. Jonathan is out of school, and Triz is going to have her last day (half day actually) tomorrow.  I have mixed feelings, I am excited, because for a reason that  I don’t have to get up early to get the two students ready for school.  I can stay in bed until late in the morning or will I be, really? I am pretty sure, since I am already use to getting up early, I will be up no matter how much I would try to stay asleep. Besides, the kids will be having the same adjustments as me.

Anyway, no matter what we are going to enjoy this summer. I am going to let Triz and Jonathan decide and chose where they want to go or do. I think we are gonna be in the water park almost every  day! I asked  Garin’s Ninang (ate Kim) if we can come to her house every once in awhile for the kids to play in her back yard. Hangang sa mag sawa siya sa amin. So, anyway,  ate Kim says “of course, anytime”. I am so looking forward to it.

Last weekend was one of the busiest weekend we had. Triz has her ballet recital, and we attended a friend’s wedding. Before these happinings, we have attended two parties for Jonathan schools and I attended Triz's girl's scout picnic. I am now busy with the boys at home. Fun! Anyways, back to the wedding story.  Triz was one of the flower girl, and Jonathan was a ring berrer.  I actually worry on Jonathan because he can be shy at times, and would not do as he told. But oh well, he is too young to understand anyway, and everyone seems to understand that. They even complimented how well he does.

The wedding was perfect. It was a “bride’s wedding dream come true” really. The bride is the one who plan her wedding, and she did a real good job! Grabi talaga, from the flowers, centerpiece and the reception looks so elegant.  Pictures doesn't do justice, it was a lot prettier in person than in pictures. The whole thing started at around 5:50pm. After the dinner the bride and groom dances, then before we knew it everyone was already  in the dance floor. The following day (Sunday) Jonna was having another party at her house, she ordered lechon and other dishes. I did not make it, since I was just so tired, and beside, I just don’t want to drag my kids to another party. I know they were still tired from the wedding party.  But even if  I was missing at her party, she did not forgot about me. She called and told me that she saved some lechon for me, medyo na hiya ako, pero hey, I feel good din, na ini-isip pa rin nila ako. She told me that her husband Keith was the one who keep reminding her to save some lechon for me. Sweet ano? Yesterday jonna and I after we ate lunch, we drove around, and decided to give ate Kim a visit! Hehehe! We stayed at ate Kim's for hours, we were having fun talking. ~_^

Ok. Pictures time. While typing I give the clock a quick look. I couldn’t believe that it is already 1:14pm! So, I guess, I did spend time uploading and editing some pictures that I am going to post here. Thanks for stopping by and for reading!

I took this picture before going to her dance rehearsal.

She asked me if she could try tap dance this year. So I guess, no ballet for her this year!

Actually there were 8 of them in this dance performance but I posted this picture instead. As usual, she was the smallest in the group.

Here are the picturess from Jonna and Keith's Wedding: I am going to pud a short slideshow too!

PS: Ger, Day G and Vanz, we are all looking forward to your visit with us here! I am excited!!

Jonathan's Graduation

I am feeling much, much better these days.  My allergy is gone, well, not completely gone,  I am still taking meds for it. but I can take it. I went to the Doctor last week because I was having a hard time sleeping at night. My nose was plugged up all the time, I was sneezing even in the middle of the night.  I keep everyone up, so, I decided, finally, to just go ahead seat in the Doctor’s office for an hour and wait until they decide that they need to check on me. Yeah, going to Doctor’s office is no fun. Even if you have an appointment, you still have to wait. I should get use to it by now, since I have kids.  ^_^

Anyway, The doctor suggested that I needed just a shot, and it should work for the whole season for my allergy. I thought, “okey, I will go for it” then I blurted out laughing, please tell the nurse I would like to have  a small niddle!  Yeah, you know how it goes.  It hurts!

Anyways, this post supposed to be about Jonathan, but now it also about me. Our middle child is a preschool graduate!  I was excited, really, all of us went to the graduation but Garin and Triz did not really enjoyed it as much as I do. I mean, the time (6:30pm) for the graduation was not really a good timing for small kids. Garin keep touching his tummy, meaning he was hungry even if we feed them snacks before we head out. Triz was upset because she was simply is so bored. But we did have a good time before the ceremony start.  By the time they start, I walked to the other side because I couldn’t even see my child! I was not  able to take lot of pictures as I was planning to do, oh well, at least I have a few. Also,  when Jonathan his teacher called his name, he suppose to walk slowly, but , not my Jonathan. I know when he is embarrassed he does that.  I was able to take just one picture of him walking away, my camera did not catch him on time . I hope he is not too shy on Saturday, he is a ring berrer  on a friend’s wedding.  I am the one who is nervous for him, really.

I took picture of him before we went to his graduation. He looks to growned up in this one. Hu-Hu-Hu

This is my little guy after the ceremony. He was not happy either, he doesn't want me to take picture!

We are still busy though, his done with his graduation. But he still going to school, his last day is on Friday! But before that,  he is going to have 2 parties to attend to. Tomorrow is his preschool party, then Thursday picnic party for his other school.  John is going to take a half day off.  Just to make Jonathan happy. Triz is going to have a party at school, I told her already I wont make it this time, with 2 boys with me in the party? Ah, you wont believe what thes boys can do! But of course I made a promised to her that I would come to her girl’s scout party.  I have to bring fruits and take my fondue machine with me, this is going to be a messy party!

Also, I have an award from Cleo. Cleo, thank you so much for thinking of me. ~_^ See you soon!

Parties in a month of May

Well, here I am trying to think of what to type, and trying to make it fast before one of the kiddo is up.  It is 6am in the morning, I got up early just to update my blog! John did not go to work today, and we will be going to the mall in awhile just to look around, and after, in the afternoon all of us are going to Jonathan’s preschool graduation.

Anyway, I thought of sharing pictures that we took this month alone. I had been thinking of updating my blog in the past weeks, but to no avail. I just couldn’t keep up  by the time the kids are in bed I am already worned out.

A friend’s sister and her kids arrived here in the U.S. late last year.  I become one of  their friends, they babysit the kids when I had to go either school activities for the kids or simply just go somewhere for few hours.  But they decided to go back to Bicol for now, for a year maybe, and come back when the kids are done with their schooling.

The first few pictures were taken in my house. Then the rest of them were taken at Ate Sylvia's!

Also we just had a surprise Bridal Shower Pajama party for Jonna. Well, she found out about it anyway,  the day before the party I think.  We invited 20 filipina for the party but since it was a long weekend and almost everyone has a plan for the weekend. It was just 11 attended, but even the number was small, it was a lot of fun.  Infact,  we had time to listen to one another. Hindi magulo or busy ba, more of a relax party.  Most of the invitee are coming from the bride to be’s  area. Just ate Kim and I are from in my area.  There is something going on every weekend, but  I did not make it to some of them.  This coming Friday, we are going to Asso party, and I think it is going to be a lot of fun.  I become, officially, one of the Social Directors in one of our small Fil/Am Asso in the area.  I am excited and can’t wait to do my job and have fun at the same time. ~_^  I have to scoot for now. Thanks ladies for leaving  your finger print in my blog. I will visit you next time!. ^__^

This is Jonna the bride to be!

I guess this is going to be part of our party from now on! Yong mga food sa likod likod na, ito ang front and mean atraction? ^_^ Everyone likes the Fondue (chocolate fountain) and the juice fountain!

The winner take it all!? The Designers with their model. It wa one of the game we had prepared for the Bridal shower.

More pictures. I will be back to put captions on the pictures later. I just don't have enought time. I have to scoot. Thanks!

Sring, flowers, etc, etc...

Ayayay! See. I have not been so active in blogging I don’t even know where to start.  I was completely out of blogging for a while, I just couldn’t keep up.  I am soo behind on everything/news  in the blogging world.  Anyway, I remembered mentioning about re osting about my becoming an American citizen, but I have not done it yet. Medyo panis na rin kasi e.  But I did have my oath taking last March 13th. Yep, I am already an American!  Hubby is happy, I guess because he is not going to deal with paper works anymore. ~_^

Anyways, spring is here and the weather is just lovely! Kids spend time outdoor , while me trying to fix my flowers. That one too, is hard to keep up. I have  big flower beds scattered all over, it looks small but when working in them, you will find out how big they are.  But I am enjoying it. My tulips and other spring flowers are coming in. I might buy more flowers once it is sure that Mr. snowman is not going to swing by.

Have a great weekend ahead. Best regards.
