Have you tried purple sticky rice? A closed friend of mind brought biko purple biko that is at my party. Then another friend promised me that she will give me purple suman she bought from West VA when visited her family there.

Anyway, I just had the last suman for lunch! Hu Hu Hu.

Triz and I went to an open house party last Saturday with a friend riding with us. Supposedly, kaming lahat mag attend ng party sa anak ng ka trabaho ni John. But I just couldn’t say no to Jessica and her nanay. Nakaka hiya eh, parati na lang akung di maka rating pag may party siya. Kaya I have to attend and show my monkey face there. Hehehe!
We stayed there for 3 hours, and then go home. Jessica bought a huge lechon, it was really good, and of course I pigged out.
We are invited to a party this coming Saturday (4th of July) but I think it would be better to just stay home this time, because it is a long drive and traffic I am sure.
Anyway, a friend called, usap-usap, plano-plano for our kids Bday party. Her son will be turning 3 year old in August and my eldest will be celebrating her 9th Bday on the same month. So, so thought it would be better to plan it ahead so we don’t indeed having their Bday party on the same day and date (like last year). Then I received another call from another friend, she is planning to have a big party which is with sayawan held it in a club house. I am excited for this ocation! ^_^ Anyways, August 8, 15, and 22 is the parties and I heard these parties will have lechon! I am drolling!

So far so good, everyone are still happy playing under the heat of Mr. Sunshine. ^_^ I don’t know what is with water, my kids are obsess with playing with it. I can imagine how would be like of having a pool in your own backyard? I know maintaining it is no play at all. B4 buying a house John and I were considering a house with a pool, but then again at the time a house with a pool is too much for our pocket. Aside from too much, one of John’s friend who own one (pool) they discouraged us about it, having a pool and small kids is not a good idea? Unless may kural na. They even sold their house too, because of that very same reason, the kids, they have 2 small boys same ages us our boys. But during summer you can’t help but think about “what if we have a pool” we don’t have to drive somewhere para makiki-pool, diba? Hehehe! Oh well, spray park is not too far from us anyway, so, that work for the kids. ~_^
Hey, wait a minute! See, I bought a pool plastic nga lang! Hehehe! Scarry thing is, pool as small as this still is very dangerous for small kids. My kids are not babies anymore but I do pay attention once they are in this plastic pool. They would asked me to put more water in it, pero kalahati lang talaga. Pag na abutan sila ni John ayon si John dagdagan niya pero, he have to stay with them outside watching them play with the water and get wit too.

JOhn with the kids. They were looking around for costumes.

Everywhere I go I heard people complimenting about how nice the weather is. When I go indoor stores people would ask if the weather is that really nice, because they either coming in early to work. I don’t know you but I do spent time outdoor with the kids. Yesterday Triz’s closed friend and her Mom picked Triz up, they invited her for lunch and they went to a water park after.
Anyway, the boys and I stayed home, but I let them play outdoor, kids like to play in the water while under the sun. They stayed in the water for more than an hour, I can see Garin’s back turned dark right away. Jonathan on the other hand turned red, a little bit darker I might add. After they changed their cloches we went to drive through at the Mc Donald closed by us, the boys were asking for french fries and chicken nuggets. When we got back I gived them pop extra for being good. They usually are not allowed to drink pop but I thought they deserved a little since they were behaving. I made chicken soup (pilipino style) with chayote for dinner, my kids love that kind of soup even John likes to drink it in a cup!
I was only planning to share of what I did with my embotido, but I managed to share more than that. ~_^ It’s just happen that Garin and I are looking at the latest pictures we had, and I saw the picture I took of my embotido I made.
Anyways, I made an Embotido it was for a small gathering I had during week days. I forgot that I made 2 tube of embotido, so, the following week days I had lunch with few friends at home ( kids having play dates) I fried my left-over embotido. I have to admit I heard from a friend that fried embotido is really good, but I have not tried it yet myself. Anyway, here's the picture, it looks good and it taste good! ^_^

It would be the first day tomorrow (officially) that I don’t have to worry about anything! Will, I guess of course I will be busy attending with the kiddos, but at lease no more events that we need to attend to, I am glad that is finally over with.
So far the kids are doing okey, staying home can be boring for them. I have to keep up with them most of the time, Triz is a good help with her brothers. I thought at first before end of school that she would be the hard one to please, but I guess I made myself restless for nothing. She help me with the boys, she read books with them, color, drawing cutting papers, etc. John is doing his fatherly time also after work. I have not yet take them to a park, but we had play dates, it was fun for them. But I must say it is hard to deal with other kids sometimes especially when they don’t listen to you, arg. Kids are kids, I know, I have 3 of them kaya I know better. ^_^ Next time I just have to tell the Moms that they have to stay with their kids, it is fun that way and I don’t have to worry too much! ~_^
Anyway, I have so much to share but just the time of making it happen is the hard part. John and the kids are watching movie before going to sleep so I thought I am going to write something for my blog. So, here I am. Now where do I start? Oops, my brain is not working again!
Triz had her first communion last Sunday, it was a sucess, we arrived on time, none of the boys were complaining they were behaved the whole hour will my big Garin were asking me to carry him when standing because he can't say the front. He just wanted to see the guy talking )Pari). But aside dyan, everything went smothly.
Before Mass start

Triz with her Ninangs Cleo and ate Amy

The whole family...

Right after Chruch we had small gathering at home. I was able to enjoy the party, it was not busy as it used to be. I ordered Chinese food and cook few dish and friends made desserts for the occasion. Thanks to them. ^_^

not everyone in the picture...

Right after the communion I got busy once again for Triz’s dance recital. The last day in the dance studio, the dress rehearsal, etc. Anyways, we finally had her recital over with last night. So, now, I don’t have to worry anything at all. Well, of course I have my 3 makulits home with me, but rather than that nothing at all…

I had been thinking of updating it here but just did not have enough time to type. Busi-busihan lang dito but honestly I had been real busy lately going back in fort to the kids school. 3 of them are home, Triz’s last day of school is today. We were able to go out right after Triz was dropped off by the bus. I just need to buy Jonathan a new shirt and pants for Sunday. I had them try their clothes on I just wanted to make sure that they have nice clothes for the occasion on Sunday, at least I was thinking otherwise ma-nginkin tawon ang akung gamay na ulitawo. ^_^
There is one thing though that I can’t believe myself, I just couldn’t remember of buying it I swear.I guess few months ago I bought a pair of white gloves for Triz, I guess I was just playing safe having it in hand ahead of time just in case if it’s necessary for her to wear one during communion. Anyway, last weekend I had everything ready and found the gloves.
I have her tried her white dress and vail even the gloves. But she is not going to wear the gloves, she look over dress with the gloves but hey she looks cute din naman. She looks like a little princess I tell you.
On the other hand, I ordered white fondue chocolate for Sunday. I thought white chocolate would be nice to have. I actually tried to buy it locally but there is no one selling it not even one store! Even the dark chocolate is hard to find now a days, I mean in our local stores. There is this store where I usually buy my dark fondue chocolates, when I went there to buy white fondue I found out that they don’t carry the dark fondue either! Anyway, I googled it last weekend I was trying to find a deal, because we all know shipping can be costly. I was planning to get just 4lbs just for Sunday. But they are usually very expensive when buying small amount, so I finally give in, I ordered 10 packs (32oz each) just for only $39.99 plus $17 for handling and shipping. It’s really a good deal. I am all set for few coming up party. ~_^

I really missed saba banana in the Philippines. My nanay used to deep fry an over ripe saba banana with caramelized brown sugar. Hmm..Hmm.. Yum.. Yum! Anyway, I received an online album from them last night and I saw my cousins were eating steam green bananas with salted fish (ginamos)! I was drooling! sarap nyan pag binaba-on maligo sa dagat.
I made turon my version. I used plantain for my turon (over riped as possible). I usually cut the banana into 8 pcs so it would taste soft and much tastier.

The kids were having wii gaming while the adults were busy gaming down in the basement. We did play with the kids, at least they were having fun. One thing I like about wii you can choose to be a couch potato or be active. I like boxing, bowling, etc. Aside being an active games, it is fun, I always have fun playing these games either with the kids or friends.

I have to laugh on Garin. I guess he got tired from playing play station wit his Kuya and the fight between the two of them.
He went up and sat down beside the ate’s and watch them playing target shoting.

But the next thing I saw him doing was lay down between the ladies. ^_^

Triz playing Tennis with Ian.

Triz with the young men. ~_^

Isn’t nice to have a really nice weather, and sweat?
I went to grocery store just to get soft drinks and stopped at a friend’s house for a few minutes to pick up my bangus. Anyway, the store is having sale for soft drinks this week, and I think the last day of sale is either today or tomorrow. So I went to the store and bought 10 packs (12 cans pack). Now I have more than enough drinks for parties, I thought of just grabbing bunch of them since I will need it eventually. I will always have either small or big gatherings every now and then and of course pop is the most popular for everyone to drink aside from the water. I might already have 15 packs of pop in the garage or more, I bought last week too, plus left over.
Anyways, I had a small party (9 of us) yesterday for lunch.I made mongo beans, sinigang na baboy, bijon and adobong manok, and of course, di yata pwede maka limutan ang dried fish! I fried 4 kind of dried sea foods and we had fruit salad for dessert. We started around noon until 4pm. Then around 6:30pm Filipina friends arrived for dinner, they supposed to be here for lunch also but they did not make it on time, you know minsan may mga kailangan na gagawin na di natin ka agad malalaman, yon ang nangyari. They brought a Bday cake with them for a friend, we (Filipinas) had left-over and I had to go out to buy pizza for the pangasaw-onon and for the kids. The kids were having fun playing wii while we, adults, were busy chit chatting. I think they leave around 10pm. I went to sleep right after since my kitchen was already clean, they clean and put my dishes in the dishwasher- nice huh? I got up around 8am and had two pcs of sweet potato special hopia. Yum!
Beleive it or not. The kids are alway playing dress up. John just bought Jonathan a spiderman costume. Garin is wearing his kuya's old costume. ^_^

My little spider baby hiding under the table. ^_^

We are actually busy these days. The boys last day of school would be on June 3rd, the whole class will have a picnic in a water park closed by. I have to be honest I am not that excited for no school days. For sure I am gonna be a real busy mommy. ~_^ But hey, we will be okey, we will find things to do to make them occupy. I am planning to put Triz on a summer camp dance, that’s the only activity that I am willing to spend money on for now. I was actually thinking of putting her and Jonathan on either swimming or starter piano lessons, but it is too much.
But will see.
Aside from being busy with family and other personal things, we still do have small gatherings here and there, the next few weeks will be the busiest. I have a schedule appointment early next week (it’s been changed many times) but this time I need to go and just be done with it, and move forward to the next appointments.
On the other hand, I just wanted to share few of interesting things happens the last few days. A friend a arrived from the Philippines with her two young adult kids for a visit, they are nice family and very friendly, they arrived last Saturday. Cleo and I went to their home to say hi (alam mo na). Hehehe! Will, I guess I was expecting something small?
Honestly, I was in my big surprised. They handed me lots of dried fish, sardines, choriso, pili candies, dried mangoes, bagoong and special hopia, etc! Ang hopia talaga isang box. Medyo na hiya ako, parang ayaw ko ng umalis kasi na hiya talaga akung umalis na ang daming bitbit.
I am so thankful for the pasalobong, sana alam nila yon. Now I am trying to make a list of what I am going to buy for them para dalhin din nila para Pilipinas. They are leaving very soon, because the kids are going back to school na rin.
Diba ang dami?! ^_^

Apat ng klasi ng dried fish. Ang sarap talaga bagong tuyo yong pusit nyan ang sarap! Nag gain ako ng 2lbs in few days.

My special hopia. ~_^ Oy, nag share ako ha! Hahaha!

I still have lots of them...Slow donw lang ako baka ma high blood ako.
